Eye Balls
Keep your Kit-Cat or Kitty-Cat Klock’s iconic rolling eyes moving with our replacement Battery Clock Eyeballs. Designed for battery-powered 15.5" Kit-Cat Klocks (Model B2) and 12.75" Kitty-Cat Klocks, these standard eyeballs with black pupils are sold as a set of two. Select your clock size to ensure a perfect fit, restoring the playful animation that makes your clock a timeless treasure.
Key Features:
-
Precision Fit: Choose 15.5" Kit-Cat Klock (Model B2, e.g., Classic Black) or 12.75" Kitty-Cat Klock (e.g., Black KC-1). Check your clock’s face for “Kit-Cat” or “Kitty-Cat” to confirm size.
-
Restores Animation: Eyeballs feature a long stem for secure connection to the lever slot, enabling smooth rolling motion driven by the clock’s magnetic field.
-
Easy Installation: Insert eye stems into the lever’s inside slots (closest to the centerline) after ensuring J-clips are installed. Bottom pin is fully rounded, top pin half-rounded for proper orientation.
-
Durable Design: Crafted for long-lasting performance, proudly made in the USA by the California Clock LLC.
-
Compatibility Note: For battery-powered models only. Not suitable for electric clocks (e.g., Model D3, D5, D8), Model B1, or Poodle/KC Bear clocks. Contact [email protected] for assistance.
Installation Tips (from Doctor Kit-Cat):
-
Ensure J-clips are installed on both eye shelves to lift eyeballs and reduce friction.
-
Remove the clock’s back and disconnect the old eyeballs from the lever slots. Place the clock face-down on a towel with batteries removed.
-
Orient each eyeball: the bottom pin (fully rounded) goes into the case hole first, then compress to fit the top pin (half-rounded). The stem’s offset should be closest to the clock’s nose.
-
Insert eye stems into the lever’s inside slots (nearest the centerline) by gently bending slots or pulling backward. Use a flashlight to confirm the left eye (from back) has an odd number and the right eye an even number.
-
Test animation with fresh batteries (2 C for Kit-Cat, positive tips up; 1 AA for Kitty-Cat, positive tip down) on a vertical wall. If issues persist, consult the Doctor Kit-Cat troubleshooting guide.
-
Pro Tip: Clean eye pegs and lever slots with a lint-free cloth to ensure smooth movement.
